# Sign-in problems and passwords

## 1. Forgot your password

On the sign-in page click **Forgot password?**, enter your email and click **Send reset link**. The link is valid for a limited time and only the newest link works.

Choosing a new password signs you out on every device and removes trusted devices, so you'll need your two-factor code at the next sign-in.

> For your privacy the page always says a link was sent — if nothing arrives, check spam or make sure you used the address you registered with.

## 2. Change your password

Go to **Profile** and open the **Security** tab. Enter your current password and the new one twice, then click **Update password**. You will be signed out everywhere, including the current browser, and sign in again with the new password.

Accounts that only ever used Google sign-in have no password yet: use **Forgot password?** on the sign-in page to set one.

## 3. "Too many failed attempts"

After several wrong passwords in a short time, sign-in is paused for that account for a while — the message tells you how long. Wait and try again, or reset your password — a reset also clears the lock.

## 4. See and end your sessions

**Security → Devices & login history** lists your active sessions (IP address, browser and date), trusted devices and recent account activity. Click **Revoke** to end one session, or **Revoke other sessions** to sign out everywhere except here. If you see activity you don't recognise, change your password and turn on two-factor authentication.

## 5. "This account is disabled"
