# Profile, your data and closing your account

## 1. Update your profile

**Profile** lets you change your first and last name and phone number, and turn marketing emails on or off. Order, account and security emails are always sent.

Your email and company website are shown read-only. To change your email after it was verified, [contact support](https://buildpropfirm.com/help/contact-support) from your current address. After the change your old address gets a notice, you are signed out everywhere and Google sign-in has to be linked again.

## 2. Download your data

Open **My data** and click **Export my data**. A JSON file with everything we hold about you is prepared; the download link is valid for 72 hours. You can request one export per hour.

## 3. Request erasure

In **My data**, **Request data erasure** deletes your personal data. Financial records (orders, invoices) are kept for the period the law requires, but without your name, email or address. Erasure also ends your API access.

Erasure isn't possible within 90 days of a purchase (the payment dispute window) or while a compliance case is open. We confirm by email when it is done.

## 4. Close your account

**Security → Close account** removes your access and stops your active subscriptions. Confirm with your password (and 2FA code), tick the box and click **Close my account**. Closing is not the same as erasure — use **My data** if you also want your personal data deleted.

Remove or deactivate your MetaTrader accounts through the API first if you no longer want us to keep their credentials.
